What Is CrossFit®
CrossFit® is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
Participants can experience an intense training method for vastly improving strength and conditioning levels using a wide range of functional fitness methods. Participants can expect to feel their strength, stamina, power, balance, coordination, endurance, and focus tested using exercises taken from Olympic lifting, gymnastics, athletics, and amped up day-to-day movements such as jumping, throwing, running, squatting, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
The CrossFit® program is designed to be scalable, meaning it may be used by young and old, fitness beginners to the most elite Olympic Athletes. The same training methods are adjusted for each individual by scaling load and intensity; not changing programs. It is a test of each individual’s fitness level, with the added energy and motivation of the group workout environment.
Who should participate in our goCrossFit program
Any individual new to fitness or a seasoned athlete will benefit from our goCrossFit program. Because the programs are adjusted based on your physical ability and fitness level, our instructors will scale workouts and exercises or make training recommendations before participating in classes. Take a look at the most novice level BEGINNERS and some very ADVANCED CrossFitters doing the exact same workout, simply modified to their fitness level. It really is for everybody, so don’t miss out on the amazing benefits of CrossFit training.
How to get Started
Before participating in classes an evaluation will be performed with an instructor to determine your starting point and scalability. We offer Intro courses to those that will need individual attention in learning the exercises and methods of following along in the program. goCrossFit WODs (Workout of The Day) may be performed individually in the Performance Room after completing our Intro course. Our website will also be available for reviewing exercises, WODs, and posting comments.
Tracking your progress
We have created an Athlete Skills Test (AST) that is specific to the goCrossFit program. The test may be performed monthly in order to rank your level of achievements in the program. See an instructor for more details on testing.
Our Performance Room
Our designated room for goCrossFit is opened during the club’s staffed hours (see club website for current staff hours). Designated times for open WODs will be posted and only allowed at these times for unsupervised WODs. All other times are designated for Classes and Personal Training with staff.
What others are saying
Nationwide, CrossFit is being touted as the BEST way to get in shape in the LEAST amount of time. Men’s Journal calls CrossFit workouts “scarily effective.”

Who’s ready to sign-up? The actors from the movie 300 sure were. They sculpted their physiques and got in peak condition for their drawn out battle scenes using CrossFit style training. Men’s Health magazine captured some of the various exercises they used in their training HERE and also HERE.
